Ave's Talking... And we're not sure what to think!
Dad: Ave if you don't stop drawing on the coffee table you'll
have to go to your room.
Ave: Dad, go ROOM! One, two...
Ave runs to the bathroom and as she's shutting the door
We are laughing and she yells out to us:
Ave: Shhh-Uh Up Guys!
Whenever Ave wants us to go somewhere she says:
Ave: Mon guys. Go. Mon. Mon. (Mon = Come on)
She also takes her little hand and beckons us.
Ave at lunchtime while eating soup.
Ave: Party in tummy. Yummy. Yummy. Party in tummy. Soup, soup, soup. Meat!
Ave loves going outside. She'll go get her boots on and say:
Outside, Outside, outside... No, No, play in no (Snow).
When she's tired. She'll run to her room.
Ave: Mon. Me. Nap. Room.
Ave thinks everything is hers. A favorite word is:
MINE MINE. Avie's book, Avie's blanket, Avie's baby, ect.
Ave likes to count, she goes:
One, two, eight, six, GO!
She also likes telling us what we are doing wrong.
Ave: No no Mommy. As she wiggles her little finger at me.
Daddy now has a nickname.
Ave: Daddy. Dad.
Jaimason not listening...
Ave: DAIMO! DAIMO! (Jaimo)
Ave also enjoys reading to us.
She says: Come sit. K? Pats beside her.
Then when you sit down.
She says: Read boot (book) now.
And begins "reading" to us.
Ave likes to tickle her Daddy she runs up to him and pinches him.
Saying: Tee tee tee tee (Tickle tickle)
Ave is happiest in the morning. She'll run into our room yelling:
HAPPY! Happy? You happy? HAPPY!
She also loves to cook so she will come into the kitchen and demand:
Up! Watch. Tir (stir). Nice!
She calls our home phone: "the petty (pretty) phone"
Ave always wants to show us stuff.
Ave: Watch. Watch dis (this). See.
Ave likes to teach us stuff.
Ave: Touch. Soft. See.
Ave woke up one morning and saw the glowsticks from New Years.
I went to throw them away and she says.
Ave: Hey no no! Dance party. Dance party. Call, Maunya, Aunt Ty, Shhh-I, Nae Nae.
She proceeded to call and invite her Maunya (grandma), and aunts and cousins
to her "dance party."
She is quite the little character, it's scary! Pray for us!

Brownie Time
Ave and her Daddy are my little sweet tooths so Sunday night they decided to take over my kitchen and make brownies. They have so much fun together being goofy and cooking. Ave thinks it is so cool to cook and help out right now. And Jaimo likes any excuse to make a sweet treat. Anyway, these two are quite the pair and I sure do love them a lot. And their brownies weren't too bad either ;)
Potty Treats and Stickers
We have officially begun the big adventure of potty training. Ave has been peeing in the toilet since 18 months but Mom wasn't quite ready to jump into training. So we have been slowly working on it. Ave has been showing such huge signs of readiness I had to buck up and start the long road to big girl undies. We made her a potty chart, got stickers, and potty treats and let the fun begin. We are doing the diaper free method where we eradicated all diaper use except for during the night. Ave loves it! She is so excited to wear her big girl underwear and has only had a few pee pee accidents. We have yet to make it to the toilet for BM, she gets so embarrassed and hides to do her number 2 business. That is our challenge is to get the poo poo in the potty. I CAN'T WAIT!

Ave has been making huge progress so quickly I am super proud of her. Her mischievous spirit has already came out and she has learned to trick the current system. She will now spread out her potty so that she goes and gets a treat/sticker. Then about 2 seconds later she goes again and gets her prize again. Her other trick is to drink a bunch of fluid so she goes a lot, I am ok with that though cause she's getting the habit down. Anyway, now I have to figure out what to do, I have to be consistent but she is taking advantage of the system. Currently, she is in time out due to sneaking in and getting into her potty treats and going to town. Let's hope I am smarter than a 2 year old!
NOTICE: Ave's swollen eye in the pictures. She decided to put Butt Paste diaper rash cream into her eyes and this is the result. Pretty gnarly stuff. One more kick in my butt to get her potty trained and get that stuff out of the house!

Chocolate Tea
Ave has numerous tea sets that she LOVES to play with. She likes to put on her hat and gloves, stir her tea, then sip it down dramatically. And of course everyone who is there must participate in the "tea party," so drink after drink we spend the afternoon. Well since it is cold I have broke out my real herbal teas and Ave asked what I was drinking. When I told her it was tea she got uber excited demanding she have some. Five seconds later she had her tea cup all ready to be filled. I was worried she wouldn't like the real deal unsweetened herbal tea but she exclaimed just as she has played, "Mmmmmm Yummmy!" Guzzling down her tiny cup of tea she asked for refill after refill. Finally, my pot of tea was all gone and the tea party ended.
After having an authentic tea party Ave became obsessed all she asks for to drink is tea. I have been brewing pots and pots of herbal tea and she thinks it's magical. Anyway, we went to the store and I decided to splurge and get a fancy herbal tea from Starbucks and Ave got a "kid sized" hot cocoa which she believed was also tea. Now tea (hot cocoa) has taken on a whole new status of coolness. Not only does she get a cool sippy cup that matches Mom's but there is chocolate flavored "tea" in her mind. My little Ave is such a yuppie wanna be cutie pie, with her Starbucks and chocolate "tea."

McReynolds Christmas 2011
We must have been pretty darn good this year cause Santa came to our house full force this year. He brought Ave lot's and lot's of toys galore and even some important things like clothes ect. But by far her favorite gift was her toy kitchen. Her eyes lit up when she saw it and exclaimed, "Whoaaa..." Then the playtime began. It was hard to get her to open any of her other presents because she was busy "cooking" and "cleaning" her kitchen. But once she started opening her gifts she realized it was pretty cool to see what was inside.
Jaimason and I also got spoiled with outdoor gear, new Manduka yoga gear, surprise diamond studs from my sweetheart, and other stuff we needed/wanted. We were so blessed and grateful. It was a peaceful and beautiful morning together as a family to celebrate the Lord's birth.
So much joy comes to my life through the excitement of Ave as she see's the novelty of new holidays and traditions. Nothing compares to a Christmas with kids it brings back the magic of childhood holidays.
He See's You When Your Sleeping...
Our little lady was such a good girl this year...
She always has a smile and love to give.
And even when she was being mischievous her puppy dog eyes could melt the coldest of hearts.
She was quick to make friends this year and share and let them know she cared.
Her puppy dog became her pal when she learned to be tender and sweet.
Ave loved to explore and adventure.
was always a good sport.
Our little Ave was such a joy this year bring smiles, giggles, and chatter wherever she would go.
I imagine she was nestled all snug in her "bed" while visions of sugar plums danced in her head.
Until... Momma started taking pictures and woke the sleeping princess. Luckily, Momma kept taking picture after picture until Ave just went back to bed.
Back to her angelic sleep and back to her peaceful dreams of Christmas cheer to come!
