Ave's Special Rocking Chair
Ave has a special rocking chair that used to be mine. My grandparents gave it to me when I was super little and we've kept it all these years. It's a little rough and needs to be refurbished but it has a special place in my heart. There is just something so tender to me to see an item I used as a kid being used again by my sweet girl. Ave loves her chair, sometimes she just goes to her room to sit for awhile and rock. And sometimes she uses her chair to get into mischief. Overall, that good little rocking chair has been apart of many memories and continues to create more. Love our little rocking chair...
Where we left off....
Our Little Turkey:
I don't know who was happier this last Thanksgiving. Ave or myself due to the fact that the year before I was pregnant and dealing with Gestational Diabetes. Either way we got some super cute shots of Ave at her first big dinner at Maunya Marlene's. As is customary my Momma out did herself on the meal. I made Chipotle Maple Sweet Potatoes, which Jaimo still raves about, Baked Nutmeg Mac n' Cheese, and Smoked Gouda Cauliflower. Ave was in my opinion the cutest little Turkey there!

Back On The Blog: 6 Months Later
With the holidays and a birthday I fell off the blogging wagon last year. Since then our little Ave has grown into quite the little girl. Baby no more, we have a toddler on our hands. In some aspects life has been more chaotic in other ways it has become simpler. Here we are again playing catch up and I hope to update from where we left off six months ago. A lot has happened so I have many blog posts coming your way!
Sending my love,
Candice Marie
P.S. So if you really read this blog leave a comment so I know I'm not writing in vain :)

She's A Lady
Purses, gloves, fur, necklaces, makeup, they are some of Ave's favorite things ALREADY! Our little lady knows exactly what she's up to when she is going through Mommy's make up....
Miss Ave thoroughly enjoys going through the bathroom. She is fascinated by the toilet flushing and wants always wants to touch the water. If she can sneak in there without us knowing she will throw anything and everything into the bowl. I find the toilet to be SO disgustingly dirty and germy so I am trying to teach her it's not a good play place.
Little miss opens every drawer, cupboard, box, anything that can open really. Then out comes the contents one by one. Her favorite is to get under the bathroom sink and into the makeup. She takes the brushes and puts them on her face, then turns to me and tries to brush my face. Then each item she inspects and puts back delicately. She is really great at making messes but she has learned to put things away too and I am way proud of my girl!
Dress up has begun and I can't say I mind. It was one of my favorite games as a child so it's fun to play again. Nothing like pulling out your fancy fur, necklaces, gloves, purses, and dressing up with no place to go. And Ave is my best friends these days so it's a ball. Since she babbles we carry on conversations and she laughs when I respond to her.
This is definitely one of my ultimate favorite pictures. It is just so Ave, her face cracks me up and she lugs that purse around everywhere. I filled it with her toys and she just loves opening it up and taking things out then carrying it around yelling. Her recent attraction to these things inspired her Christmas present this year.... yup, you guessed it a purse and accessories.
On to the next favorite game: Shopping. Ave has a shopping cart that I have talked about numerous times, but this time she went around the room and gathered stuff and put it in her cart before she went cruising. Being curious to see what she had put into her cart I snapped this picture, in the cart is her sunglasses, keys, and a cellphone. HA HA! Smart cookie!

Our little Ave is growing into quite the little lady. She's spunky and smart and knows just what she wants. A girl after my own heart!

Hey Everyone, fall is by far my favorite photo opportunity. I love the vibrant and warm colors that create perfect backdrops for gorgeous pictures. Here's a few we shot after raking the leaves in our yard.

Halloween Shalla!
This year for Halloween we dressed up as Muslim Indians and Ave was our pet Peacock. Our Halloween costumes were inspired by our summer spent in Houston, there were SO many Indians and they were WONDERFUL people. Jaimo spent ALL month growing out his beard to be just perfect for his part as Mr. Patel. He also spoke in his fabulous accent the WHOLE night. Ave our sweet little Peacock was dressed to the hilt, I spent ALL month sewing and designing our costumes. It was definitely a labor of love. I learned to always buy extra material and that picking your stitches is horrible. I also learned that sewing without a pattern is almost impossible!
Then that evening we really treated ourselves and got a pizza. We don't eat fast food very often so it is quite and indulgence to get a pizza. And boy did Ave enjoy her deep dish veggie pizza! She is so funny, she loves to share so she fed us all the toppings. Our little one is really becoming a silly little person.
Then on Sunday we got to dress up again and go to my parent's house to celebrate Jaydon's birthday. They made it such a festive party and made all sorts of "spooky" food. There was a meat head, eyeball meatballs, bloody fingers, and other fun stuff. We had a great time hanging out with the kids and playing. WE LOVE HALLOWEEN!
We celebrated on both Saturday and Sunday. First we went and visited some good friends and Ave got Chocolate Chip Banana Bread and Spiced Apple Cider, which she loved! Then we came home and made caramel popcorn to bring to neighbors and the residents at Jaimason's work, Good Samaritan Nursing Home. That was my favorite part of the whole night, all the elderly residents went crazy over Ave. They just love Ave, and they all call themselves her Grandmas and Grandpas, so she has about 50 grandparents. HA HA!

Dad & Mom's Night Out: Harvest Ho-Down
I know this blog is about Ave but I just HAD to post this one cause it was just too much fun... First off we have the most fun and entertaining ward ever! They always come up with the best ideas for activities, this time they had a Harvest Ho-Down. We ate amazing food, played ridiculous games, learned some new dance moves, took pics, and danced into the night. AND we won the "Best Dressed Couple" award, pretty snazzy huh? Anyway, here's some of our funny pics and I hope ya'll enjoy! YEEHAW!
P.S. Special thanks to Maunya Marlene for babysitting so we could have a rootin' tootin' time! We sure do appreciate it! Lot's of Love!

Mischievous Ave McMauve!
Since Ave has become more mobile, vocal, and characterized. She has also become ultra-sneaky and mischievous! It's like one second she's right there and the next she has disappeared to reek havoc on something. Her top favorite mischief is to play in the dog food bowls. We try to only feed Canaberry, our Shitzu, when Ave is asleep or distracted. But I think she senses when the bowls have been set out cause she cruises over to them asap! I am quite impressed though that she has found that if you dip the dry food in the water it becomes soft enough to chew... However, I find it absolutely disgusting that she has become quite the connoisseur of "fine dog food!"
Ave's second most wonderful trick to pull, is to find wallets or purses and play with ALL contents inside. Her favorite is the plastic and cash though. If she can get to those two items she will have a ball for hours just playing with the money. In this picture she has just got into Daddy's wallet and then took the contents and put it into her "shopping cart" walker and went around the house hollering. I don't know what she is saying but I can't wait to find out!
During feeding time now Ave has become extremely independent and she doesn't just want one... SHE WANTS IT ALL! She will throw a mighty fit if I only hand her one, if she can't hold it all then she's not having it. But we had a discussion and have came to an agreement she can have one in her mouth and one in both hands. Our little lady is what I call a "chain-eater" she has to have food in hand at all times.
And finally Ave's death defying stunt: climbing the stairs. It scares the crap out of me every time she does this and I run up and grab her like a crazy lady. This is SOOO funny to Ave she laughs so hard when I get nervous and worried. Ave has absolutely NO FEAR and this makes me super excited about our future dare devil. I guess Mom's are always right when they say, "You're gonna have a kid just like you!"
